If you were a kid growing up in the mid-2000s, your Saturday mornings or after-school PBS schedules might have been graced by a trio of oddly lovable aliens: Captain Bula, the purple space hero with a heart of gold; Zeeter, the quick-witted pilot; and the ever-hungry, two-headed comic relief, Gorga. In the legal sense, maybe
was more than just a cartoon. It was a cleverly disguised astronomy lesson, teaching us about everything from planetary gravity to the water cycle. But like many shows from the golden age of educational CGI (think The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron or Cyberchase ), it has largely vanished from mainstream streaming services.
So pour a bowl of cereal, fire up the Internet Archive, and take a patrol through the cosmos. The Zula Patrol is on duty, even if they’re currently rendered in 480p.
