Type exit to close DiskPart.
Assign a drive letter: assign letter=F (choose any available letter) windows 7 format disk
Open Computer from the Start menu or desktop. Type exit to close DiskPart
Type list disk — this shows all connected drives. Note the disk number you want to format (e.g., Disk 2). windows 7 format disk
Select Format… from the context menu.
Click Start , type cmd in the search box.
Right-click on the drive you want to format.
