If you rely on TradeSkillMaster (TSM) to dominate the World of Warcraft auction house, few red error messages are as paralyzing as “No AuctionDB realm data available.”

Here’s what that message actually means—and how to fix it. AuctionDB is TSM’s built-in market price database. Unlike the default WoW UI (which only shows the current lowest bid/buyout), TSM builds historical trends: daily averages, sale rates, market values, and regional comparisons.

Open the Auction House, click the TSM toolbar button, and run a full “AuctionDB Scan.” Yes, it takes 5–15 minutes depending on realm size. Do it once, then the desktop app can maintain it. 2. The TSM Desktop App Isn’t Running or Syncing The in-game addon alone cannot fetch external data. The TSM Desktop App (separate download) runs in your system tray, logs into your TSM account, and downloads the latest realm data from their servers.

Check your system tray. If the gold coin icon is grey, launch the app. If it’s red, log in again. Go to the app’s settings and confirm your realm is selected under “Realms.” 3. Blizzard’s API is Rate-Limiting TSM After a major patch (like 11.0 or a .5 patch), thousands of TSM users rescan simultaneously. Blizzard’s auction house API limits how often addon servers can pull data. Sometimes TSM’s servers get stale data for low-pop realms or connected realms with weird naming conventions.

Suddenly, your tooltips go blank. Your shopping operations stop suggesting prices. Your posting scans run on guesswork. The digital gears of your gold-making empire grind to a halt.
