My art often takes the form of interactive installations, performances, and workshops. I use these mediums to create immersive experiences that challenge people's perceptions and encourage empathy. By doing so, I hope to create a sense of third space, where individuals can engage with and understand different perspectives.
The term "third space" was first coined by Homi K. Bhabha, an Indian philosopher and cultural theorist. It refers to a space where individuals can exist beyond the binaries of identity and culture, creating a new and hybrid sense of self. For me, third space is about creating an environment where people can exist freely, without the constraints of societal expectations. It's a space where individuals can be their authentic selves, and where differences are celebrated rather than erased. My work is focused on creating these types of spaces, where people can come together and share their experiences.
