“You edited this,” the collector said. It wasn’t a question. The rest of the cast didn’t react

Miles had tried to cut around it. He’d buried the fourth-wall break under a sound effect, then a smash cut. But the HDCAM in front of him was a pre-conform edit, raw and unvarnished. The director’s voice grew clearer. “Don’t stop. He’s not breaking character. He’s breaking.”

Miles pressed play.

“No,” he agreed. “But you can delete the person who leaked it.”
