continues to be the show’s punching bag, but his scene with Starlight in the Seven’s common room is genuinely uncomfortable to watch. It’s not played for laughs. That’s the point.

Still one of the best in the series. Young Homelander, perfect smile, instantly snapping. The “I can do whatever I want” line hits different after you’ve seen the whole season. Pure dread.

We knew Episode 1 was just the setup. Episode 2? That’s where The Boys grabs you by the throat and whispers “this isn’t a superhero show.”

is in full manipulative bastard mode. Recruiting Frenchie (the chaotic energy is perfect) and Female (no lines, all menace). The “Cherry” drug lab raid is the first real team moment. It’s messy, brutal, and darkly funny – especially Frenchie’s “I’m a pacifist… mostly” while holding a flamethrower.

Episode 2 proves the show isn’t just shock value. It’s about power, trauma, and ordinary people trying to fight back with duct tape and desperation. Also, openh264? Funny enough, I encoded my screencaps of this episode using H.264 – so yeah, good codec for a messy, compressed world of broken heroes.

is the heart of the episode. Watching him try to be a normal boyfriend while internally replaying Robin’s… event … is brutal. The scene where he meets Annie (Starlight) at the support group is tragic and sweet at the same time. He’s lying to her, but you understand why. And her realizing she’s comforting the boyfriend of a woman her “teammate” killed? Oof.
