The episode’s key scene: Jenn finds Liam hiding in a beachside arcade. He’s scared, not rebellious. He reveals Carol’s boyfriend has been abusing the younger sister, and Liam ran to get proof — he stole a USB stick from the boyfriend’s van. That USB contains not just photos of the abuse but also links to the earlier journalist’s murder. His last known sighting: near the harbor, late

Meanwhile, (Daniel Ryan) is under pressure from the new area commander. CCTV shows Liam getting into a silver van — plates traced to a known local drug dealer, Kaz , who’s also a “fixer” for a Morecambe crime family.

In sharp 4K close-ups, we see tension in Carol’s hands, a hidden mobile phone, and a bruise on Liam’s younger sister’s arm. Jenn notices but says nothing yet.

Second storyline: (former officer) returns to help with community outreach but clashes with DS Karen Hobson (who was FLO in earlier seasons). Karen warns Jenn that Medha plays both sides.
