Talqin

Note: Talqin has other meanings (e.g., instructing a new convert or a student in Sufism), but the most common usage refers to guiding a dying or deceased person in the core testimony of faith. Talqin literally means "to cause someone to remember" or "to prompt." In Islamic eschatology, it is the act of reminding a Muslim of the Shahada (the declaration of faith: "La ilaha illallah, Muhammadur Rasulullah") at the moment of death or after burial.
