As they journeyed across the kingdom, they encountered other creatures who had been affected by the crack's power. There were Goombas with incredible strength, Koopa Troopas with the ability to fly, and even a giant, mutated Bullet Bill.
"We were exploring the kingdom," one of the Toads explained. "We stumbled upon the crack, and then... and then we were sucked in! We don't know what's going on!"
The kingdom began to rebuild and recover, with the Mario brothers and Princess Peach at the forefront of the efforts. And though the crack was closed, its effects would be felt for a long time to come – for the power of the Wonder Seed had changed the kingdom forever.
