Autumn closes the laptop. (Tyler Lepley) knocks. He brings food, but really he wants to know why she’s been so cold. She deflects. Andre mentions a “corporate raid” rumor: someone’s trying to buy up Chucalissa’s waterfront properties. He thinks it’s connected to the casino money. Andre stares. “That’s not you talkin’.” She deletes it without reading

Mercedes: “I ain’t the one need healin’ from the club. I need healin’ from the church.”

They shake on a trial run. Big Bone leaves. Clifford watches her go and mutters: “That girl a codec herself — always compressin’ her pain into profit.” Keyshawn is at a diner with her kids. Derrick shows up unannounced, overly charming. He wants her to come home. She says no. He leans in, whispers: “I know about the dancer from Baton Rouge you been textin’.”
