"NetBackup Shared Capacity License (SCL) is a licensing metric based on the total amount of protected front-end data (in Terabytes) across the entire backup environment, regardless of the number of backup clients, servers, or virtual machines. Under this model, a single SCL pool is shared among all NetBackup clients and media servers. Backup data is measured collectively, and capacity consumption is calculated based on the source-side data volume selected for backup jobs.
