The unit grinds waste before pumping it out, so a blockage usually means foreign objects (wet wipes, sanitary items, cotton buds) or hardened grease/deposits .

“Macerator blocked? Here’s a 30-second fix. First – power OFF. Then find the manual override slot – usually a hex key or flathead. Turn it back and forth. That frees the impeller. Still stuck? Back-flush with a hose down the outlet. Still no? You’ve probably got a wet wipe in there – time to open the housing. And for next time… only thin, dissolving paper.
