1. Introduction JVP Cambodia III (Joint Verification Program III) was the third in a series of technical agreements between the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) and the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC) . Its primary purpose was to complete the registration, verification, and eventual demobilization or reintegration of military personnel from the four Cambodian factions following the 1991 Paris Peace Accords.
Today, JVP III is studied in peacekeeping courses as a case study in the in civil war environments.
