Răzvan is a historical novel set in 17th-century Moldavia. The protagonist, Răzvan , is the illegitimate son of a nobleman and a servant girl. After his father dies, he is cast out and forced to survive by his wits. He becomes a skilled mercenary and adventurer, traveling through the Ottoman Empire and the Romanian Principalities.
