Produced by Acun Medya and broadcast on Skai TV, the season sends a group of Greek celebrities into the South African jungle (relocated for this season due to production logistics) to compete in trials for food and luxury items while being voted out by the public.

This season marks the return of the show after a two-year hiatus, following season 12 which aired in 2024. It is also the first season to feature a dual-host format. Development and filming location In December 2025, Skai TV confirmed the renewal of the franchise for a thirteenth season. Unlike previous seasons filmed in the Australian bush (near Murwillumbah, NSW), production relocated to a custom-built camp site in the Western Cape province of South Africa due to scheduling conflicts at the Australian location with the UK series.
