Introduction: A New Court, A New Era After a four-year hiatus (following Season 3 in 2016), Haikyuu!! returned with its fourth season, To The Top , in January 2020. The weight of expectation was immense. Season 3 had ended on the euphoric, exhausting high of Karasuno defeating Shiratorizawa and earning a ticket to the National Tournament. Episode 1 of Season 4, titled “Introducing the Self-Proclaimed Greatest Decoy,” shoulders the difficult task of resetting the narrative scale, reacquainting us with beloved characters, and laying the foundation for the Nationals arc.
