Ek Deewana Tha: In Defense of Loving Without Logic
While we sit in our safe, air-conditioned rooms feeling nothing , the deewana was out there, drenched, heartbroken, and utterly, terrifyingly alive. The word is a double-edged sword. In one breath, it means lover . In the next, it means lunatic .
The deewana didn't care about timing. He didn't care about looking cool. He stood in the rain. He wrote letters nobody asked for. He showed up when he wasn't invited. And yes—he got hurt. He got hurt deeply, publicly, and often.
The opposite of being a deewana isn't being smart. The opposite is being hollow. I am not asking you to abandon logic. I am asking you to stop worshiping it.
