⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5)
John Koenig’s The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows is a cult classic for a reason. It gives a name to the emotional wilderness we all wander through but rarely acknowledge—the ache of a goodbye you haven’t said yet ( sonder ), the nostalgia for a time you’ve never known ( anemoia ), or the quiet realization that everyone around you has a life as vivid and complex as your own ( sonder again, but deeper).
The PDF version of this collection is both a blessing and a bittersweet compromise.
Headphones (for the official YouTube soundtrack) + a cup of tea + a willingness to feel deeply.
